R. Jake Measom, MD
​
Dr. Measom is a Utah native, born and raised in Cache Valley. He stayed in Logan for his undergraduate studies at Utah State University. Following graduation, he earned his MD at the University of Nevada. While in medical school he was actively involved in research and writing, winning the annual Bierkamper Research Convocation as well as being awarded the History of Medicine Award. Continuing this theme, he completed a scholarly concentration in Narrative Medicine.

Upon completion of medical school, he traveled to the New England where he completed his Anesthesiology residency at the prestigious Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. As a resident Dr. Measom was named a FAER Scholar and led a clinical trial evaluating a novel treatment for painful diabetic neuropathy.

He went on to complete a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the University of New Mexico where he became skilled in the full spectrum of fluoroscopically and ultrasound-guided pain procedures including the latest minimally invasive treatments. He gained expertise in advanced neuromodulation techniques including spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion stimulation and peripheral nerve stimulation.

Dr. Measom is dedicated to providing high-quality care to those in his hometown and surrounding communities. He is passionate about treating and educating patients and utilizing the most up to date technology to treat pain. He is excited to be joining Interventional Spine and Pain hopes to make a positive impact in the community.

When not working Dr. Measom enjoys being outside as much as possible skiing, whitewater kayaking, sailing, and climbing. Above all he loves spending time with his beautiful wife and twin daughters.
